Playrcart’s technology enables seamless in-advert payments and data capture, allowing your customers to instantly donate in both open web and social environments.


Playrcart’s technology can be seamlessly integrated into a variety of digital assets to accentuate the charity, cause or fundraiser in question with high-definition interactive elements that reduce friction and prompt charitable giving.


Data and insights are captured by Playrcart and can be transferred to a brand using SFTP via CSV or directly to the brand’s commerce, CRM/CDP platform or existing technology stack, depending on the type of integration selected.


The integrations are performed by Playrcart, with documentation, API access, and some support for final testing.

Standard API Integration

A Standard API Integration would be advised once adverts are frequently delivered and allow a far more cost-effective model for creating new ad instances and processing donations efficiently.

Integrating Playrcart’s technology into a commerce system can be performed by Playrcart with open APIs, documentation and support.

System Integrations

By integrating into the businesses or charity's existing commerce platform, donations can be processed within the ad unit via the payment gateway and pushed to the system in real time along with customer information. From there, the donation will be processed as though it was received via the charity’s existing e-commerce website or mobile app.

Payment Gateways

Payments are processed directly from the advert, within the user's browser, and the payment gateways online systems. Card details do not at any stage of the transaction contact or are stored by the Playrcart platform.

Playrcart is pre-integrated into a range of payment gateways including Stripe, Worldpay, Braintree, PayPal, Barclaycard Fuse and Adyen.

Here is the journey of a typical donation with Standard API Integration:

  1. The customer will initiate the donation in the advert.
  2. The customer will be prompted to enter their personal information in the ad and click ‘donate’.
  3. The charities’ selected payment gateway will process the payment.
  4. Data submitted by customers will be securely passed through the Playrcart platform directly to the charities’ commerce platform.
  5. In most instances, the charities’ commerce platform will automatically send a payment receipt email to the customer.
  6. The charities’ platform will then process the donation and customer information separately from Playrcart, as it would if a donation was made via their website, for example.

The security, proper handling and privacy of our client’s and their customer’s data are of critical importance, which is why we will always provide transparency about the flow of data through our platform.

Lite Integration

A Lite Integration would typically be used to support proof of concept or one-off campaigns. In this case, Playrcart provides a highly supportive approach to creating, testing and delivering a transactable advert.

An integration with a payment gateway is required, with the funds deposited directly into the brand’s account. Customer information will be passed back to the brand via an SFTP or password-protected CSV file.

Once an ad creative has been designed and signed off, including decisions made on exactly what data to collect, Playrcart will incorporate the technology ready for delivery using the Playrcart platform.

This option is quick & easy to set up, with minimal impact on existing systems.

Here is the journey of a typical donation with Lite Integration:

  1. The customer will initiate the donation in the advert.
  2. The customer will be prompted to enter the required information in the ad and click ‘donate’.
  3. The selected payment gateway will process the payment.
  4. Playrcart will capture and secure all data.
  5. Playrcart will send the data via a password-protected CSV file directly to the charity by secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) or as an email attachment at regular intervals (1 min to 1 day).
  6. Playrcart will automatically send a payment confirmation receipt email to the customer.
  7. The charity is then required to process the customer’s information via their commerce platform.

Self Integration (via Playrcart APIs)

Playrcart is happy to take on the bulk of the integration work. However, we recognise some businesses prefer to be in control themselves. With this managed by their internal or external development teams.
