Buy

Playrcart's technology enables customers to checkout and purchase displayed products in open web, social and livestream environments.

The example on the right is a customers journey set within Instagram. In just a few clicks the item is purchased without the customer being redirected out of Instagram to the brands website.

The ad-units are totally customizable giving customers the option to purchase multiple products, opt into e-mail marketing, pay with various methods and have different delivery options.

To achieve this journey, two integrations are required, one into the existing order process and the other into the payment gateway. All done by Playrcart with documentation, access, and some support for final testing.

Standard API Integration

A Standard API Integration would be advised when adverts are frequently delivered to allow a far more cost-effective model for creating new campaigns and processing orders efficiently.

This API integration type allows Playrcart’s technology and transactable adverts to be seamlessly incorporated with your existing systems and processes.

Key points:

  • Order data is transferred directly into existing e-commerce or CRM/CDP systems
  • If collecting customer data for marketing purposes, have this data sent into the right platform in real-time
  • Customer payment is passed straight into a payment gateway; customer card details and money is never handled by the Playrcart platform

E-commerce Platform Integration

By integrating your existing e-commerce platform, completed orders made through Playrcart adverts will be instantly processed in real-time, in the same way an online order would be received via an existing e-commerce website or mobile app.

Once integrated and if APIs are available, Playrcart will have direct, real-time access to selected products, stock levels and live product prices in the exact same way online existing sales channels do.

The following systems have been pre-integrated into the Playrcart platform. This means integrations can usually be completed in a matter of days.

Payment Gateways

Payments are processed directly from the advert, within the user's browser, and the payment gateways online systems. Card details do not at any stage of the transaction contact or are stored by the Playrcart platform.

Playrcart is pre-integrated into a range of payment gateways including Stripe, Worldpay, Braintree, PayPal, Barclaycard Fuse and Adyen.

Here is the customer journey of a typical purchase with Standard Integration:

  1. The customer will initiate the purchase in the advert for the displayed product(s).
  2. Playrcart maintains an up to date stock level for each product on sale.
  3. If the product is in stock, the customer will be prompted to enter their name, email, contact number, delivery address and payment details in the advert and click ‘pay’.
  4. The brand’s payment gateway will process the successful/completed payment.
  5. In most instances, the brand’s e-commerce platform will automatically send a confirmation email to the customer.
  6. Playrcart will capture and secure all data and accept the order.
  7. Data submitted by customers will be securely passed through the Playrcart platform directly to the brand’s e-commerce and payment gateway for the order to be fulfilled.
  8. The brand’s e-commerce platform will then process the order as it would if an order was placed via their website, for example.

Data Flow

The security, proper handling and privacy of our client’s and their customer’s data are of critical importance, which is why we will always provide transparency about the flow of data through our platform.

The below diagram illustrates the journey customer data takes in the ‘buy’ process.

Lite Integration

A Lite Integration would typically be used to support proof of concept or one-off campaigns. In this case, Playrcart provides a highly supportive approach to creating, testing and delivering a transactable advert.

Payment via any gateway (Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, etc.) will be integrated and availability can be provided to Playrcart via a spreadsheet. Customer and order details will be passed back to the brand via an SFTP or password-protected CSV file.

This option is quick and easy to set up, with minimal impact on existing systems.

Here is the journey of a typical purchase with Lite Integration:

  1. The customer will initiate the purchase in the advert for the displayed product(s).
  2. Playrcart maintains an up to date stock level for each product on sale.
  3. If the product is in stock, the customer will be prompted to enter their personal information (name, email, contact number, delivery address and payment details) in the ad and click ‘pay’.
  4. The payment will be processed via the selected payment gateway.
  5. Playrcart will automatically send a confirmation email to the customer.
  6. Playrcart will capture and secure all data and accept the order.
  7. Playrcart will send the data via a password-protected CSV file directly to the brand by secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) or as an email attachment at regular intervals (1 min to 1 day).
  8. The brand is then required to process the order via their fulfilment team or existing fulfilment system separately from Playrcart.

Self Integration (via Playrcart APIs)

Playrcart is happy to take on the bulk of the integration work. However, we recognise some businesses prefer to be in control themselves. With this managed by their internal or external development teams.

We'll be launching our integration API documentation online this year. In the meantime, it is available in following formats:

Once the documentation has been reviewed, contact Playrcart directly to discuss your use case and for them to give you access.

To proceed with an integration, please contact the Playrcart team here.
