Book

Playrcart’s technology enables customers to, for example, book meetings, restaurants, hotels or tickets with a seamless in-advert booking via open web, social and livestream environments.

To achieve this, two integrations are required, one into the existing booking journey and if a payment is required, into the payment gateway. All done by Playrcart with documentation, access, and some support for final testing.

As the book use case is simply collecting customer information and checking designated availability, the possibilities are endless.

Use Cases

  • Cinema tickets
  • Test drive (automotive)
  • Appointments or meetings
  • Restaurant reservations
  • Quotations
  • Hotels
  • Car rentals

Standard API Integration

A Standard API Integration would be advised when adverts are frequently delivered to allow a far more cost-effective model for creating new campaigns.

Integrating Playrcart’s technology into a booking, CRM/CDP or e-commerce system, and a payment gateway (if applicable) can be performed by Playrcart with open APIs, documentation and support.

With a Standard API Integration, the adverts will be able to display real-time availability based on the customer's preferences, providing alternatives in case of no availability.

E-commerce Integration

Playrcart has pre-integrated into a variety of industry-leading e-commerce platforms that offer booking systems and ticketing applications via their respective app stores. The following systems have been pre-integrated into the Playrcart platform:

E-Commerce Logos

Of course, if you would like to integrate a platform that is not in the above list, Playrcart will assist you in doing so.

By integrating your existing e-commerce platform and payment gateway, completed bookings made through Playrcart adverts will be instantly processed in real-time, in the same way any other booking would be via your existing website or mobile app.

Once integrated, Playrcart will have direct, real-time access to availability and pricing in the exact same way existing sales channels do.

Payment Gateways

If a payment is required as part of the booking process, these are processed directly from the advert, within the user's browser, and the payment gateways online systems. Card details do not at any stage of the transaction contact or are stored by the Playrcart platform.

Playrcart is pre-integrated into a range of payment gateways including Stripe, Worldpay, Braintree, PayPal, Barclaycard Fuse and Adyen.

Here is the journey of a typical booking with Standard API Integration:

  1. The customer will initiate the booking in the advert by selecting what they wish to book along with the time, date, the number of people, seating (if applicable), location (if applicable), etc.
  2. Playrcart will automatically check the availability in real-time as it has direct access to availability.
  3. If there is availability, the customer will be prompted to enter their personal information in the advert and click ‘pay’(if applicable).
  4. The brand’s selected payment gateway will process the payment.
  5. In most instances, the brand’s e-commerce or booking platform will automatically send either a confirmation email, e-tickets, relevant information or booking reminders to the customer.
  6. Playrcart will capture and secure all data and accept the booking on behalf of the brand.
  7. Data submitted by customers will be securely passed through the Playrcart platform directly to the brand’s commerce & payment stack for the booking to be confirmed.
  8. The brand’s e-commerce platform will then process the booking separately from Playrcart, as it would if an order was placed via their website, for example.

Data Flow

The security, proper handling and privacy of our client’s and their customer’s data are of critical importance, which is why we will always provide transparency about the flow of data through our platform.

The below diagram illustrates the journey customer data takes in the ‘book’ process without a payment required.

Lite Integration

A Lite Integration would typically be used to support proof of concept or one-off campaigns. In this case, Playrcart provides a highly supportive approach to creating, testing and delivering a transactable ad.

A payment gateway integration is required and availability can be provided to Playrcart via a spreadsheet. Booking information will be passed back to the brand via an SFTP or password-protected CSV file.

This option is quick & easy to set up, with minimal impact on existing systems.

Here is the journey of a typical booking with Lite Integration

  1. The customer will initiate the booking in the ad by selecting what they wish to book along with the time, date, number of people, etc.
  2. Playrcart will automatically check the availability provided by the brand and stored in the Playrcart platform.
  3. If there are tickets, times, tables, seats, etc, available, the customer will be prompted to enter their personal information in the ad and click ‘pay’.
  4. The selected payment gateway will process the payment.
  5. Playrcart will automatically send a confirmation email to the customer.
  6. Playrcart will capture and secure all data and accept the booking.
  7. Playrcart will send the data via a password-protected CSV file directly to the brand by secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) or as an email attachment at regular intervals (1 min to 1 day).
  8. The brand is then required to process the booking via its ticketing or reservation system.

Self Integration (via Playrcart APIs)

Playrcart is happy to take on the bulk of the integration work. However, we recognise some businesses prefer to be in control themselves. With this managed by their internal or external development teams.

We'll be launching our integration API documentation online this year. In the meantime, it is available in following formats:

Once the documentation has been reviewed, contact Playrcart directly to discuss your use case and for them to give you access.
